Swedenergy works to influence politic decisions and regulations in both the Swedish and the EU arena. We focus on European energy and climate policy in order to support investment possibilities for our members as well as development of a sustainable energy system, in all different ways; social, environment and economy sustainability.

Swedenergy works together with other organisations on the European/EU arena for more successful results from our lobby work. 


Eurelectric is the sector association which represents the common interests of the electricity industry at pan-European level, plus it's affiliates and associates on several other continents. Swedenergy is one of the over 30 full members. Eurelectric representing the electricity industry in 32 European countries.

Euroheat and Power

Euroheat and Power is a network of district energy organisations and professionals, connecting industry players, decision-makers and academia in a joint effort to drive forward sustainable heating and cooling. The headquarter is stationed in Brussels and the members come from over thirty countries around the globe and include national district heating and cooling associations, utilities operating district energy systems, industrial associations and companies, manufacturers, universities, research institutes and consultancies active in the sector.

Swedenergy is a member of GEODE. The organisation is made up of European independent distribution companies of gas and electricity and represents more than 1200 companies in 15 countries, both private & public owned. 

GEODE defends the interest of the local distributors in front of energy authorities on national and international level and allows the exchange of expertise, the share of data and competence.

Swedenergy works together with the other Nordic Energy Associations in different areas. The organisations have a common office in Brussels and often arrange events together.
